Fortis Web: Versioned Documents – Resolved an issue with Microsoft Internet Explorer
crashing when viewing documents via Fortis Web that have many (28+) versions stored
in Fortis. (9987)
Fortis CDExpress: Installation – Resolved an issue with installing a CDExpress database
recording that includes installation of a Fortis Service Pack. (9940)
LDAP: Password Encryption – Resolved an issue with passing the LDAP Proxy User
password in clear text. The password is now encrypted. (9899)
LDAP: Proxy User – A change has been made to Fortis LDAP such that values other
than Distinguished Name (DN) are supported for the proxy user value in order to bind
to the LDAP Server. Other commonly used values for LDAP Proxy User such as
userPrincipalName (UPN) are now supported. (9899)
Fortis Web: LDAP/Fortis User names – A change has been made to Fortis Web to
resolve an issue with LDAP authentication of user names that contain a space. Prior to
this change LDAP users will be prompted for username and password when they login
to Fortis Web. (10058)
OCR: File Permissions – Resolved an issue with an OCR license file being installed to
the Fortis application directory which causes OCR to fail if users are denied write
permissions to the application directory. The OCR license file has been moved to
SYSDATA so that customers can continue the best practice of keeping the Fortis
application directory secured to read-only access. (10022)
Document Viewer: Storage Path – Resolved an issue where Fortis is unable to display
images that are stored in an archive whose path is longer than 87 characters. Fortis will
now handle storage paths over 110 characters in the following manner; 1) If a volume
label exists it will be bypassed, 2) A Microsoft function call to get the ShortPath (8.3
format) will be made and 3) If the ShortPath is 126 characters or less, Fortis will use the
ShortPath. If the ShortPath exceeds 126 characters then Fortis will still be unable to
access documents in that location. (10018)
Archive Path: Save – Resolved an issue with browsing to a new archive path that is 128
or more characters. A change was made to limit the path to a maximum of 100
characters, it is necessary for us to reserve characters for partition folders (WTI1, WTI2,
etc.) and MAG file names (I00AC123.MAG) to ensure that Fortis will be able to save
files to the new archive location. (10031)
